Talking to a therapist – Gravel

Blame me for the change of weather,
But change of weather’s good;
Changes come and go, they never change my attitude,
That’s where I am, that’s where I stand,
I don’t expect you to understand what I’m about;
They say I could’ve done much better,
I don’t think I could,
It’s just too hard to find a proper reason why I should;
I’ve come across a little thought,
It’s time to burn all that I’ve bought or throw it out;
You know I could and I’m afraid I might
Stay like this for the rest of time
Waiting for signs from where I’ve never been,
But I would love to see
At least a half of what’s supposed to be me.
Blame me for the change of weather,
But change of weather’s good;
Changes come and go, they never change my attitude,
Well, I’ve been told that rock’n’roll
Keeps you alive but makes you older than you are;
They say I could’ve done much better,
I don’t think I could,
It’s just too hard to find a proper reason why I should;
I’ve come across a little thought,
It’s time to burn all that I’ve bought or throw it out;
You know I could and I’m afraid I might
Stay like this for the rest of time
Waiting for signs from where I’ve never been,
But I would love to see
At least a half of what’s supposed to be me.
